Go to the 3D Map Designer page, enter the property address, click on Add Camera Icon button, edit the camera properties, click Save Lens and Save Progress buttons and you have your first project.

Yes. Cameras can be added and individual characteristics entered. The application will calculate DORI from the entered data or you can manually enter published data. Data required: sensor width (in pixels), horizontal field of view (in degrees), vertical field of view (in degrees), Infrared Illumination distance (only required to show distance). Camera name, installation notes, surveillance target (for the installer - what is the camera looking at), and DORI published values are all optional. Every camera can be rotated, zoomed, tilted, and have the height changed through a mounting bracket adjustment.

The 3D map includes height data of all displayed structures and the terrain. When a camera is added to a structure the height where is it placed is recorded. After the camera has been added there is an extra step to record the ground level below the camera. This then sets the height above ground level so that the DORI can be calculated based on a target height as defined in the camera settings. Target height is usually around 1.6m representing the height of a human face for identity purposes. The DORI lines are based on the target height.

The free plan allows for 1 project with up to 4 generic cameras. The camera database and PDF reports are excluded. The free plan allows the system to be tested for up to 14 days after which it will no longer function. Extensions may be granted on request.

The project plan allows for 2 projects with up to 24 cameras per project. The camera database and PDF reports are included. The project plan is ideal for home owners or businesses designing their own system or for casual installers who subscribe to the plan for the home owner as part of the process. The project plan subscription is per month.

The commercial plan allows for unlimited projects with unlimited cameras per project. The camera database and PDF reports are included. The commercial plan is ideal for system installers, dealers, or designers working on multiple projects throughtout the year. The commercial plan subscription is per month.

A Commercial Team subscription is an addon to a Commercial plan subscription. The Team member can work on the Commercial plan projects and has full access to the Commercial projects. A Team subscription is time aligned with the parent subscription and both expire at the same time.

Projects can only be worked on by one person at a time and an attempt to open a project will result in a message saying it is currently locked. Projects are unlocked after the other user logs out and there is no activity for 3 minutes.

Plans are month-to-month. Due to plan restrictions on project and camera numbers it is not possible to downgrade plans and retain all current projects. To cancel, turn off auto renew. Contact us to discuss.

Motorised zoom cameras are typically provided to allow a target to be optimised. These cameras reduce the amount of pixels recording unwanted targets. By zooming in on a target you increase the number of pixels recorded and therefore increase the likelihood of identifying a person close to the target. You can simulate zoom by adjusting the horizontal field of view of a camera in the project. The resultant reduced field of view and longer DORI regions (for zooming in) replicate real-world zoom.

Each camera in the project has a button to show a simulator. The simulator allows you to move the figure of a man closer and further away and the image quality changes according to distance. You can adjust the camera while the simulator is open to see the effect of the changes in real time.

If you have the plans you can upload them in the application. The plans should be converted to an image first and then uploaded. Once uploaded you can place them on the 2D map and align and scale the image where it will be built. You can then place the cameras in 2D before switching to 3D where you can configure the cameras including structure height.

There are costs to access Google Maps and other APIs used in this project. We limit resource usage by allocating a number of tokens each subscription. These tokens are reduced as resources are used. The free plan includes tokens to allow you to try the system and limits you to 4 cameras and 1 project. You can't access the camera library but you can simulate any camera if you have the datasheet. This allows you to trial the system with resources paid by Sitemesh 3D while limiting our exposure to Google costs.
